Hello and welcome to Thomas Aquatics!
The 2010 Swim schedule has now been posted. I will be signing up students starting on Tuesday May 1st . I am looking forward to seeing many of your children in the pool again and working with them become stronger swimmers than last year. I am also excited about working with the new little ones. I will try my best to put each child in a class that would benefit them the most. See you soon!!!

1. Swim classes are for 3 years and older
2. Download the Registration Form
3. Download the Release of Claims Form
(right mouse click the links above and select “save target as”)
4. print and fill out the forms
5. Call 972-937-0745 or e-mail me at ctetatwax@juno.com
to check availability for the class you want.
Please bring the Forms with you on the first day of class!!

What your child will learn
Beginner Classes – 3 years and up
Holding breath under water
Front float with face in water with support
Back float with support
Kicking
Self supporting float on back and front with kicking
Opening eyes in water
Getting to wall for safety
Jumping in and getting back to wall
Begin teaching arm mechanics
Please be aware that not all kids learn at the same pace. Some kids may take longer than other to learn a skill.
Intermediate Classes
For returners who have learned how to float and swim for short distances.
Build strength in kicking using kick boards
Develop correct mechanics for arm movements
Develop skills to swim under water
Breathing mechanics
Rolling over to back float in distress
Rythmic breathing with freestyle strokes
Elementary backstroke
Life saving skills in deep water
Treading in deep water
Begin to teach diving
Intermediate/Advanced
For those wishing to develop strength and speed for lap swimming

I am certified by American Red Cross in Water Safety Instruction
This is my 7th year of swim lessons
I am a teacher at Ovilla Christian School in Red Oak. I have been teaching for 20 years.
I am married (22 years) and have two children ages 14 and 10
